Learn how to create solid parts where the profiles intersect at Specified Directions other than the Normal to profile direction to achieve the desired shape using Solid Combine feature.Read more
In this Tech Tip, you will learn to use the Offset Definition function to edit the definition of elements and offset them from geometry to make them external to the sketch.
Some key points to take away from this Tech Tip are:
– This function only works on sketch elements that are offset from the part, not elements in the active sketch.
– When editing the offset, you may need to exit and re-enter the sketch to update the offset.
Bill of Material a.k.a ‘BOM’ is a comprehensive list of raw materials, components, assemblies, sub-assemblies, parts, or anything which is required to manufacture the finished product.

In this i GET IT Tech Tip, we will show you how to place a 3D Annotation Note inside a box.
This methodology will create a note containing a digit inside a box and then by referring to that digit i.e. the Note Number, we will place additional long text which will explain about what actions are supposed to take place at the locations shown with the notes.Read more
Basic sketches are an essential part of any CAD Modeling process used in all CAD applications. Creating sketches can be a very easy, using basic commands such as Lines, Rectangles, Arcs, Circles and by applying some sketch relations between them using advanced commands. This PLM TechTalk article will take an example from our SOLIDWORKS Sketching course, using a basic bracket profile, and outlining the steps for creating Basic Sketches in SOLIDWORKS.Read more
