How to Create/ Edit Sketch from within Command in CATIA V5
Ever wondered of creating a solid sketch with a click of a button. It is possible in CATIA V5, refer following tech tip video and blog from our SME which will tell you “How to Create/ Edit Sketch from within Command in CATIA V5”. If you think in terms of the solid to be created in CATIA V5 and prefer to setup a command to create it and then create the sketch;
Then you can simply initialize the command (the PAD command in this example),
Enter the specifications the then select the sketch icon (outlines in image) on the PAD dialog to create the sketch.
Conversely, If you want to edit an existing solid;
Then simply double left mouse click on the solid feature in the specification tree and then select the sketch icon to edit the sketch.
When you exit sketcher, you will return to the feature dialog allowing you to make changes more efficiently.
